Why Is Self Farming is The Need Of The Hour?

The green revolution from the 1970s initiated an era of high production of food grains and vegetables and helped save the day. As India is a country with limited land available for farming but the population growing steadily but significantly there is a large burden on our food producers to produce more output and the most used solutions are chemical additives for the soil, highly poisonous pesticides and chemicals to prevent food damage. No doubt they have helped in productivity; but at what cost. As per official Estimates in India around 55% of fruits and Vegetables contain more than the permissible amount of pesticides and insecticides on them.

We believe Self farming is the only effective and permanent solution to this issue. It is definitely not possible for an individual to produce all the food they need. The solution is Co-Owned/Rented Farms. This is already a popular concept in many countries but is yet to catch up in India. In Co-Owned farms large farms are owned/rented by multiple people and they have dedicated farmers to handle the physical labour. Owners visit the farms at regular intervals with their friends and family, helping in growing and harvesting. Monitoring facilities are available at the farms so consumers can track activities remotely.

The Consumers have a direct say in what goes into the food and being self-grown the cost remains lesser than the fake organic food available commercially. We believe Co-owned farms shall be the next big thing in the food market. Aranya Greens is one of the first companies in the country to offer similar services.
